Dear friends & family,

The second day being here in Albania was spent with me having a bit of headache from all our travel, so a lot of my time was spent catching up on sleep. In full honesty, the greatest struggle I tend to have in missions is honoring the sabbath. Taking true times of rest is an area the Lord has stretched me in the past year, and I have come to value the sacredness of it. We know that the area in which we struggle the most is often the place where God calls us to grow. If you struggle with public speaking, chances are God will call you towards it. Since I struggle with rest, God sometimes uses my high-energy to need greater levels of rest. All of which I am so grateful for!

As I lay down in bed, the story that I’d like to share with you is a beautiful one. When my Dad booked our housing situation here in Albania, it was out of geographical convenience. The road we are on seems to lead directly to the church, straight to the center of the city, and very close to all our target reach areas.

Little did we know the history behind this beautiful street!

Kristian and the owner of our Albanian B&B let us know that the street we are on is the one Paul the Apostle walked!!! If you read Acts 16:9-10, there was a man from Macedonia who pleaded, in a vision, to Paul for him to come help. On his missionary journey to preach the Gospel into Asia minor, Paul made his way through many parts of Albania, Greece, Turkey, etc. Our bedroom is right next to that road! What a cool side note of history we get to be a part of!!

That was what was gained in day 2: knowing the intricate detail God weaves into stories, to know we are here with purpose that started before we ever stepped foot in this nation!

Thank you for praying for us, for praying for the growth of the church! I have some exciting vision to share with you all tomorrow!!! This day is short because a lot will be unpacked for Day 3!

Blessings,

Destiny Rose
